PERSONAL CARE:
Personal Care is offered in two room suites (ideal for couples) or single rooms with private baths on the ground floor of Arbutus Park Manor. Most residents bring their own furnishings, and the rooms reflect the personalities of our various residents.
Our staff administers all medications and provides help as needed with bathing and dressing. We are specially trained to offer support and recognize any emergency conditions, while at the same time we give residents their independence and privacy.
Delicious meals are served in our friendly dining room. Breakfast service begins at 8 and extends a bit for those who prefer to sleep a little later. Lunch is the main meal of the day. Snacks are offered each evening, and many residents have small refrigerators in their room for cold beverages, fruit, or other items.
A common sense example of Arbutus’s exemplary care is that we don’t just transport our personal care residents to their doctor office appointments. We accompany them. If a resident wants, our staff will remain with them through the appointment, clarify any special physician instructions, follow-up on prescriptions, scheduling of any special tests, or other necessary actions.
Also at the Manor we provide podiatry, vision, audiology and dental services as well as in-house physical, occupational, and speech rehab therapies which are usually billed to our resident’s insurance.
One of the things that distinguishes Arbutus is the frequency and diversity of activities offered for our Manor residents. We have in-house group activities every day, and frequent community outings. From crafts to dances, campfires and picnics, there is always something interesting happening at Arbutus.
Family and friends are welcome seven days a week, 24 hours a day. There are no limits on visiting hours at Arbutus Park Manor.
Please call or e-mail us for admission information. Our staff is very helpful and, if you wish, will assist you in preparing applications for VA or long-term care insurance for a personal care admission.
