At Arbutus we offer professional rehabilitation services to all of our residents through a partnership with Flagship Rehabilitation. Our in-house staff includes licensed physical therapists, registered occupational and speech therapists and certified aides.

Therapy services are usually prescribed by a physician and billed to residents’ insurance. 

In-house therapy is a great convenience to our residents. Often our therapists will work right in our resident’s personal or nursing care room. At other times our therapist will help patients use specialized equipment in the newly expanded and updated therapy room at the Manor. Outpatient therapy services are also available for our independent cottage and townhome residents.

Sometimes the goal of rehab therapy is to help a patient recover and return home. With older people, the goal may be to maximize potential… help maintain balance, stand steady, walk safely. Regular professional therapy can make big improvements possible.
